How to set the date and time of the terminal partire

open the terminal

enter as administrator ( root ) with the following command :

su 

then type password

type the following command :

date 

the current date is displayed

                                              Thursday. August 21 09:47:16 CET 2014

to change the date type 

date MMDDHHmmAA

MM is the month
DD the day
HH the hour
mm minutes
AA year

for example :

date 0828004514

result :

Thursday. August 28 00:45:00 CET 2014
