If you encounter this problem :

restart your computer and choose the boot by cd rom ( cd windows xp)

on the first screen tap ''R'' 

please wait while loading the console

type the number of partition for exemple 1 and type enter then type password 

type the commande 1-1 and type ENTER  :

md tmp  

windows\system32\config\system c:\windows\tmp\system.bak

delete c:\windows\system32\config\system

copy c:\windows\repair\system c:\windows\system32\config\system
